What are the best broadband deals on Cyber Monday?
We can finally put the Black Friday madness behind us as most providers’ sales draw to a close at midnight tonight.
If you were too caught up with buying gadgets this weekend and missed the broadband sales, fear not as a few broadband deals are still available until next weekend.
In recent years the term Cyber Monday has fallen out of favour. Instead many retailers and service providers choose to extend Black Friday to include the whole weekend and in some cases the following week as well.
TalkTalk broadband from £18.95 a month
TalkTalk’s sale lasts up until Thursday 30 November so you still have three days to make your mind up about switching if you are near the end of your contract.
The provider’s Fast Broadband package with speeds up to 17Mbps with unlimited usage has been dropped from £21.50 to £18.95 a month. You’ll be signed into a 12-month minimum term contract.
If it’s faster speeds with a fibre connection you’re looking for, TalkTalk’s Faster Fibre Broadband package with speeds up to 38Mbps is now £25 a month. This contract last 18 months and you’ll have unlimited usage.
With Christmas just around the corner you’ll probably be planning ahead how to entertain the family when they come round for your famous roast turkey and yorkshire puds. A broadband and TV bundle may be a good shout.
As part of the extended Cyber Monday deal from TalkTalk, 'Fast Broadband' with a TV Plus Box and 30 extra entertainment channels is now £24.95 over a 12-month contract. With this bundle you’ll get broadband connection speeds up to 17Mbps, more than 80 Freeview channels and entertainment channels including Comedy Central, National Geographic and MTV.
The UK's cheapest Cyber Monday broadband from Origin
Origin’s sale also ends this Thursday (30 November). The provider has extended its sale to its basic and fibre broadband packages.
For speeds up to 17Mbps you’ll pay £16.49 a month if you sign up within the next three days. Otherwise the price goes back up to £18.49 a month. You’ll get unlimited usage over an 18-month contract, which is the cheapest basic broadband package that has been offered for Black Friday this year.
If you’re expecting a busy household over Christmas with all your aunties and cousins Instagramming their food and streaming online content, fibre broadband is your safest option.
For a fibre connection with unlimited usage and download speeds up to 38Mbps you’ll pay £23.99 a month with Origin. After the sale is over the price goes up by £2 a month.
Discounted broadband from First Utility
There’s more time to make up your mind about starting a new broadband contract with First Utility, as you’ve got until Thursday 7 December to catch its offers, taking you well past Cyber Monday into days that (probably) don't even have a special shopping name.
The provider has knocked a pound off of its First Broadband plan with speeds up to 17Mbps. You’ll pay £17.99 for unlimited usage over an 18-month contract. For the Super First broadband with speeds up to 38Mbps you’ll pay £24.99.
You don’t have to be one of First Utility’s energy customers to get this discount as they are available to both energy customers and non-energy customers.

EE offers £125 cashback
If you’re thinking of getting a broadband contract with EE, its Cyber Monday sale is also live until Thursday 7 December.
With EE you get a reward card with £125 already loaded onto it for you to spend at any shop that accepts Mastercard. If you’re thinking this will come in useful for Christmas, you may be disappointed as you’ll have to wait until your connection is set up and you’ve made your first bill payment so you’re more likely to receive it in the New Year.
If you’re an EE mobile customer you’ll also get an extra 5GB of data added to your tariff each month.
EE’s basic broadband plan with speeds up to 17Mbps will cost you £21.50 a month this Cyber Monday and fibre broadband with speeds up to 38Mbps is £29 a month.
As part of the sale, EE has waived the set-up costs.
A £50 reward card with Sky broadband
Sky recently made a few reductions to its broadband packages but has chosen to only offer a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal on its Unlimited Broadband plan. For speeds up to 17Mbps you’ll pay £18 a month over a 12-month contract with Sky.
At the end of your contract you will pay £28.99 a month for the same package. Unlike the other providers mentioned further up this article, Sky is charging a £19.95 set-up fee.
Before you turn your nose up at the set-up cost your mood may be lightened by the £50 reward card that Sky is offering to sweeten the deal.
This will get you a broadband-only package so you’ll still have to pay an extra £8 a month if you want to add an inclusive Sky Talk Anytime feature to your plan.
