Motorola Moto G6 available exclusively from Vodafone until 31 May
Motorola’s latest handset the Moto G6 is available exclusively from Vodafone between now and the end of the month.
We assume that other providers will start stocking the phone after 31 May – we’ll let you know when we get confirmation of that. What we do know is that O2 is stocking the Moto G6 Play, while Carphone Warehouse is the only place to get the G6 Plus.
Motorola describes the Moto G6 as being “designed to impress, built to create”. It has a 5.7” HD screen and advanced imaging software to help you take the best possible shots with its dual rear 12MP and 5MP cameras, plus its 8MP front ‘selfie’ camera.
A turbopower charger means you’ll be able to get hours of battery life from just a few minutes of charging and the phone’s curved Corning Gorilla Glass back gives it a more premium look and feel than its price suggests.
Vodafone is offering the Moto G6 from £24 a month with no upfront cost, for a 1GB plan with unlimited calls and unlimited texts.
Moto G6 Plus exclusive to Carphone Warehouse
To get a bit more value for money you might have to spend a bit more – for £36 you can get the Moto G6 on an 8GB plan which also comes with unlimited calls and texts but also, as it’s a Red Entertainment plan, you’ll get access to either Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium or a NOW TV Entertainment pass for the two years of the contract.
In order to get your hands on the Moto G6 Plus, which has a slightly bigger 5.9” screen but otherwise near-identical specs to its smaller sibling, you’ll need to go through Carphone Warehouse.
Prices start at £23 a month plus an upfront fee of £29.99 for a deal on the EE network that comes with 2GB of data plus unlimited calls and texts on a 24-month contract. This deal also includes three months’ access to the BT Sport app and six months’ free Apple Music.
If you don’t want to pay anything upfront for the G6 Plus, Carphone Warehouse has deals that will put you on either the O2 or Vodafone networks for £30 a month. Both come with 4GB of data and unlimited calls and texts. The benefits of O2 Priority may just swing that decision the way of O2, in fact, because other than that there’s very little in it.
