Now TV to offer broadband, TV and phone without a contract

Wednesday, June 29th 2016 by Phil Wilkinson-Jones

Now TV is to offer the UK’s first subscription-free broadband, TV and landline phone service.

The online streaming service has today announced the launch of Now TV Combo, which allows customers to bundle all three services together without a contract.

It will be available to customers in early July.

The company has also unveiled its new Now TV Smart Box, which gives viewers access to up to 35 pay TV and more than 60 free-to-air channels as well as on-demand content.

It also lets users pause and rewind live TV, and download apps including YouTube, Spotify, Sky Store and Sky News.

Now TV Combo comes with a one-off set-up fee of £40 for standard broadband and £50 for fibre, with monthly costs ranging from £9.99 to £51.99.

You’ll also have to pay a monthly line rental fee of £17.99.

There is also a 12-month ‘saver’ option that has no set-up fee but does come with a 12-month minimum term on broadband and line rental.

Gidon Katz, managing director of Now TV, said: “Now TV has got something for everyone – TV they love to watch, when they want and on their own terms.

“It’s why we’re not stopping there. With the Now TV Combo, we’re pushing the boundaries again with the UK’s first contract-free triple play bundle.

“Plus, our customers will get the benefits of our new Now TV Smart Box that brings together free-to-air and Pay TV shows seamlessly.

'Freedom'

“We know people want the freedom and control of a no strings relationship when it comes to choosing their TV, broadband and call package, so the Now TV Combo is the product and service they deserve.”

In May, Now TV added a children’s TV pass to its content offering.

The Kids Pass includes six live TV channels as well as thousands of episodes and box sets from Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, NickToons, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Cbeebies, CBBC and Milkshake.

It allows children to watch popular shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Paw Patrol and The Powerpuff Girls on demand.

The Kids Pass comes with an interactive space-themed interface, picture-led navigation, a favourites rail and next episode auto-play.

It also features a range of parental controls.
