O2 offers triple data on iPhone 7 deals

Tuesday, November 7th 2017 by Phil Wilkinson-Jones

O2 is offering triple data with selected iPhone 7 tariffs – and a £120 saving on the price of the handset with some of its other deals.

If you’re looking for a nice new iPhone but aren’t too fussed about having the very latest model, this may be a way to upgrade your handset but still save a few quid.

It’s only been a year since the tech world went into meltdown over iPhone X means there are some decent deals out there already.

O2’s headline offer is 15GB of data for the price of 5GB. In real terms that’s an iPhone 7 with a 15GB monthly data allowance for £19.99 upfront and then £44 a month for two years.

All of O2’s iPhone 7 tariffs come with gig tickets from O2 Priority and access to O2 wi-fi hotspots around the country.

The triple data deal also applies to the 10GB tariff, which – you’ve guessed it – currently comes 30GB of data to use each month. This is £19.99 upfront then £48 a month.

If you’re not quite as data-hungry, you may find one of O2’s smaller data plans will be enough – and could save you quite a bit on the price of the phone.

The iPhone 7 with 3GB of data is £19.99 upfront then £40 a month, 1GB of data is £19.99 upfront then £37 a month and 500MB is £39.99 then £33 a month. With any one of these three plans, O2 says you’ll save £120 on the cost of the device.

iPhone 7 plans and doesn’t charge an upfront cost on any of them. Virgin’s plans are available on standard two-year deals and also on three-year contracts, bringing down the monthly cost.

It is this 36-month contract term that allows Virgin to offer an iPhone 7 with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 1.2GB of data for £22 a month.

If you’re looking for maximum data, Virgin is offering 40GB with 5,000 minutes and unlimited texts for £31 a month over three years.

For those who prefer to stick to a two-year plan, Virgin’s 1.2GB deal is £32.50 a month and its 40GB package is £41.50.

All of Virgin’s mobile plans include rollover any unused data into the next month.
