Whether you’re looking for an iPhone or Android handset, monthly contract or pay-as-you-go, all the phone money can buy or SIM-only, there’s some cracking deals out there right now.
With so many offers available from week to week it can be hard to keep on top of what’s available when you’re looking for your next phone. That’s why we’ve done the hard work for you with our pick of some of the best deals amongst the most popular handsets.
Despite disappointing sales – mainly due to buyers holding back for the iPhone X – the iPhone 8 is still a great handset with an excellent camera, wireless charging and 64GB storage as standard.
If you’re looking for a competitive monthly contract deal take a look at Virgin Mobile’s current package for the iPhone 8. No upfront cost and £28 a month over 36-months with 1.2GB data allowance, 1,000 call minutes and unlimited texts. For an extra £3 a month you can treble your data allowance up to 3GB and increase your minutes up to 1,500 – definitely worth doing.
Over 24 months the monthly price only goes up by £8 to £39 a month so for a couple of quid extra a week you can trim a year off your contract term.
Exclusive to O2, this phone has received terrific user reviews so far, has a great camera and very strong battery life.
O2 currently has a data offer on selected tariffs until 21 March. You can get 12GB of data for the same price as 3GB for an upfront fee of £9.99 and £41 a month over 24 months. If you’re data needs are a little higher, you can get 20GB of data for just an extra £4 a month all with unlimited minutes and texts.
You can also claim a free Xbox One game and three months Xbox Live membership with any monthly contract purchase made, again, until 21 March.

Mobiles.co.uk currently have a range of great monthly contract deals focused around – you guessed it – data packages. 4GB should be more than sufficient for most monthly usage requirements and you can get a Pixel 2 with 4GB of data, unlimited calls and texts, for no upfront cost and £29 a month. For an extra £1 a month and £60 upfront fee you can increase your data allowance up to 16GB.
Huawei Mate Pro 10
Another terrific Android alternative to Samsung and currently available from Three with a cashback and free tablet offer. Monthly contract prices start at £31 a month and an upfront fee of £79 for 1GB data allowance up to £56 a month and £49 upfront fee for all-you-can-eat data usage over 24-months.
