Sky original drama Save Me comes to Sky Atlantic in February

Tuesday, January 30th 2018 by Oprah Flash

Keeping to your resolutions? Don’t worry January is just a trial month so we won’t judge you if you’ve already stopped going to the gym.

While you’re busy procrastinating and finding valid excuses for eating cake instead of working out, we’ve got a new show for you to get stuck into next month.

Riding on the coattails of the Netflix and Amazon Prime Video Originals success, Sky has released list of new Original Productions and one in particular that we’re looking forward to is Save Me.

Set in London, Save Me tells the story of Nelly Rowe, a loveable rogue who likes a drink, takes life as it comes and is well-liked by his community. One day, Nelly’s life is flipped upside down when he is arrested and accused of kidnapping the 13-year old daughter (Jody) he never knew he had.

Jody’s mum Claire, who shared a brief fling with Nelly 14 years ago, is adamant he is to blame for Jody’s disappearance. While striving to find the truth and clear his name, Nelly will go to any lengths to bring his daughter home safe.

What he wasn’t expecting to find, is that the answer is a bit too close to home for comfort.

The Sky Original Production, Save Me, is created and written by Lennie James who also plays the show’s protagonist, Nelly.

You may recognise Lennie as Morgan Jones from The Walking Dead. He is joined on screen by Suranne Jones (Dr Foster) who plays Jody’s mother and Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire).

We don't have an exact release date yet but we know Save Me is set to premiere on Sky Atlantic in February.
