Sky cuts cost of Sky Movies and Sky Sports upgrades this weekend

Friday, April 22nd 2016 by Cable.co.uk

Sky is running a Sky Movies and Sky Sports flash sale this weekend, with prices slashed by more than 50%.

From today until midnight on Monday 25 April, existing TV customers will be able to get Sky Sports for only £10 per month for the first six months of their contract. This means customers will save £17.50 on the standard upgrade cost.

Sky Movies will be available for £6 per month for six months, instead of the usual price of £18 per month.

Sky Sports viewers have access to seven dedicated channels showing programming such as 116 live Barclays Premier League games, live coverage of the Test Series and every Formula 1 race.

Customers upgrading to Sky Movies will be able to access new movies 12 months before they’re available through online subscription services. The package includes 11 movie channels including the latest addition: Sky Disney, and thousands of films available on demand.

£100 M&S e-voucher

From this week until midnight on Thursday 5 May, TV customers with The Original Bundle will get a £100 M&S e-voucher if they upgrade to The Family Bundle. The Variety Bundle subscribers will receive a £50 M&S e-voucher on switching to The Family Bundle.

The Family Bundle costs £8 extra per month, depending on your existing TV package, and includes more than 50 entertainment channels in HD.

Sky is also offering new customers a 30% discount on selected TV packages, plus a £25 choice of reward (either a M&S or Tesco e-Voucher or pre-paid MasterCard). This offer is available until midnight on Thursday 19 May.

New customers have the choice of six broadband, TV and phone bundles ranging from The Original for £14 per month to The Complete, which includes Sky Movies and Sky Sports, for £56 per month.

At the moment, new customers can add unlimited broadband or 38Mbps fibre broadband to their package for free, meaning they will only pay the £17.40 per month line rental charge. After 12 months the monthly cost will rise to £10 per month.

Sky also offers unlimited fibre broadband for £10 per month for one year, after which it increases to £20 per month.
