Sky cuts cost of unlimited fibre broadband to £10 per month
Sky is running a special offer on its unlimited fibre broadband package from now until midnight on Thursday 26 May.
Customers subscribing to standalone unlimited fibre broadband (without a TV bundle) will pay £10 per month for 12 months (plus £17.40 per month line rental) and receive a £100 M&S voucher when they order online.
After the 12-month minimum term has expired, the monthly cost will rise to £20.
Sky has made its capped fibre broadband service free for one year.
Customers will only need to pay line rental for the first year and then £10 per month.
Sky’s standard fibre package includes a 25GB monthly usage limit. This is the equivalent of 540 hours of internet browsing, downloading 300 albums, playing online games for 540 hours or downloading eight movies or two in high definition.
Sky fibre broadband provides download speeds of up to 38Mbps and upload speeds of up to 9.5Mbps.
All broadband customers will receive Sky Broadband Shield internet protection, a Sky Hub router, unlimited Sky wi-fi and Sky Yahoo! Email.
Half price calls
Sky is also offering half price discounts on its call packages when you add them to a TV or broadband deal.
From now until Thursday 9 June, customers joining Sky TV or buying standalone broadband can get six months half price evening and weekend calls (now £2 per month) or six months half price anytime calls (now £4 per month).
Sky’s long-running offer of 30% off TV bundles plus a £25 choice of reward will end at midnight tomorrow (Thursday 19 May), along with the half price Sky Movies upgrade for existing customers.
Sky offers a choice of six TV bundles ranging from The Original, which includes 270 channels such as Sky Atlantic, Fox and MTV, to The Complete, which boasts 350 channels including 50 in HD, 350 box sets, 11 Sky Movies channels and 7 Sky Sports channels.
Existing Sky customers may notice a change to their monthly TV bill later this year. Sky recently announced it will be increasing the cost of its TV bundles by an average of £2 per month from Wednesday 1 June.
Sky TV customers will be notified of any changes to their bills by letter or email before Friday 29 April.
