Sky cuts price of Sky Sports TV upgrade

Friday, December 18th 2015 by Cable.co.uk

Sky is holding a flash sale on its Sky Sports package this weekend. From today until Monday 21 December, existing TV customers will be able to upgrade to Sky Sports for £10 a month for six months.

Sky Movies subscribers will only have to pay £5 a month to get the Sports package. The standard cost for upgrading to Sky Sports is £25.50 per month.

Sky Sports includes seven dedicated sports channels showing over 100 sports including 116 live Barclays Premier League games, live cricket and every Formula One race.

Sky has also launched a special offer for new TV customers. From today until midnight on Thursday 28 January, if you sign up to any Sky TV bundle online you’ll get a £25 choice of reward.

Rewards include a £25 voucher for M&S or Tesco, or a prepaid MasterCard. Customers can claim their free gift online at Sky.com once their new TV service is live.

Sky offers six TV bundles starting at £20 per month: The Original, The Variety, The Family, The Movies, The Sports and The Complete.

Each bundle includes a Sky+HD box and access to the Sky Go app, which allows you to view up to 70 channels live and on demand. All bundles require a minimum 12-month subscription.

12 months free unlimited broadband

Sky has also made its Broadband Unlimited package free for 12 months for a limited time only.

New Sky broadband customers taking this bundle before 25 February without TV can also claim a £50 M&S e-voucher.

The monthly cost will go up to £10 per month after the first year. Customers will also need to pay £17.40 per month line rental.

Sky has also cut the price of its Fibre Unlimited to £10 a month for 12 months for customers without Sky TV. This will go up to the original price of £20 a month after the first 12 months. The offer ends on 25 February.

Sky has launched a raft of special offers in the run-up to Christmas. Last week the provider offered free gifts including an LG TV and Samsung Galaxy Tab to new TV subscribers.
