Sky digital TV channel to show new Louie Spence series

Wednesday, July 14th 2010 by Cable.co.uk

A new series featuring Louie Spence is to be shown on one of Sky's digital TV channels, it has been announced.

Subscribers to Sky's digital TV bundles will have the chance to watch Pineapple Dance Studios star Louie Spence in a new show in the near future.

Sky1 has commissioned a new series with the working title of Showbusiness, which will see the dance star and TV personality challenged to put on a major review show in London's West End.

Expected to be shown on Sky1 and its high definition (HD) alternative, the show will feature a host of other famous faces as Spence works to make his performance a success.

Celia Taylor, commissioning editor for factual at Sky1, said the series will be bigger and funnier than Pineapple Dance Studios.

She added: "It will be a landmark and unique take on the showbiz industry that cements Sky1 HD as the birthplace and rightful home of performance documentary."

Sky recently confirmed that its Sky Sports News channel will soon only be available as a premium service through its digital TV subscriptions.
