Sky fibre customers hit by nationwide outage
Sky fibre broadband customers are having trouble getting online this morning.
Down Detector, a website that tracks outages and other network problems, shows that the company has been having issues since around 3am.
The website shows that Sky fibre and Sky Q customers in various parts of the country have reported problems getting online.
The issue comes a week after BT customers suffered two days of broadband problems because of a power failure at one of its “internet connection partners” in London’s docklands.
Sky has said on Twitter this morning that it is trying to find out what is causing today’s outage.
We are aware that fibre customers are having issues browsing, engineers are investigating. Sorry for making your morning more stressful. ^MM— Sky Help Team (@SkyHelpTeam) August 2, 2016
Sky customers have taken to Twitter to report both a lack of broadband service and difficulties getting through to Sky’s customer service team.

Twitter user Craig said he had spent an hour trying to diagnose the problems himself and believed there was an issue with IP addresses as it is possible to access some websites.
Sky responded to say it was aware of the problem and was working on a fix.
Cable.co.uk has approached Sky for comment. This story will be updated throughout the day.
UPDATE:Sky says that its fibre broadband customers should be back online.
