Sky gives away free TV with Family Bundle subscriptions

Monday, February 29th 2016 by Cable.co.uk

Sky is offering new TV customers a free 32” LG TV when they sign up to the Family Bundle.

This offer is available until Thursday 17 March.

Sky’s Family Bundle offers more than 65 entertainment channels including documentaries and kids' shows. It also includes access to the Sky Atlantic channel and more than 300 TV box sets.

Customers signing up to this bundle can choose to receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab E or £100 reward (either an Amazon giftcard, Tesco giftcard or prepaid Mastercard) instead of a TV.

Sky is also offering customers taking the Original Bundle a Samsung Galaxy Tab E or £100 reward.

The Original Bundle is Sky’s basic package and includes more than 35 channels not available on free TV, including Sky Atlantic.

Customers can claim their free gift online after their Sky TV has been activated.

New TV subscribers will have to pay a £10 set-up fee and a 12-month minimum contract applies.

Sky bundles starting from £20

TV bundles start at £20 per month and there are six to choose from: The Original, The Variety, The Family, The Movies, The Sports and The Complete Bundle.

Each bundle includes a Sky+HD box and access to the Sky Go app, which allows you to view up to 70 channels live and on demand.

Sky TV comes with 240 free-to-air channels and a range of entertainment channels, which vary depending on the package you choose. Sky Movies and Sky Sports are available as add-ons, as well as kids' shows, box sets and HD channels.

Sky regularly offers free gifts with its TV packages. Earlier this month, it offered new customers a choice of reward worth £25 (either a Tesco or M&S gift card or prepaid Mastercard) across all bundles.

The company hit headlines recently with the launch of its 4K TV service, Sky Q. The new set-top box supports 4K video, records up to four live shows while you’re watching up to five different channels on other screens, and features a 2TB hard drive, which is enough to store 350 hours of HD content.

Sky Q packages start at £42 per month with a £99 one-off set-up fee. According to Sky, those upgrading from Sky+ boxes can expect to pay an extra £12 a month.
