Sky launches Bank Holiday sale with half price TV upgrades

Friday, May 27th 2016 by Cable.co.uk

Sky is offering 12 months half price across its TV upgrades for four days only.

From today until midnight on Monday 30 May, existing customers will be able to upgrade to Sky Sports, Movies, Multiscreen, Sky Go Extra or the Family bundle and get 12 months half price.

For this weekend only, Sky Sports will cost £13.75 extra per month for Sky customers, instead of £27.50.

Sky Sports includes live games from the Barclays Premier League, Sky Bet Football League, La Liga and live action from the Capital One Cup. Subscribers get access to seven sports channels and can also watch live matches and highlights on demand through Sky Go.

Existing customers can also save when upgrading to the Sky Movies bundle, which offers 11 movie channels including the latest addition – Sky Disney – and thousands of films on demand.

The cost of upgrading to Movies this weekend is now £9 per month instead of £18.

Half price Family bundle

Sky’s Family bundle, which includes 350 box sets on demand and in HD, is now £3 extra per month for 12 months. The package also includes over 50 entertainment channels in HD, Sky 3D and catch up TV.

Sky Go, the multi-device online TV service, is included with every Sky TV bundle but for viewers who want more, Sky is offering 12 month half price Sky Go Extra.

This service, now £2.50 extra per month, allows you to download TV content to your devices and watch them anywhere, even without internet. Shows can be downloaded on up to four compatible devices and you can also watch Sky in another room on your games console.

Sky Multiscreen allows customers to watch different Sky channels in various rooms around the home, at the same time. This service is now half price for 12 months – £6 instead of £12.

As well as half price TV upgrades, Sky is also introducing new fibre broadband offers. Sky Fibre without TV with a 25GB limit is now £5 a month for six months until midnight on Thursday 30 June.

Sky Fibre provides speeds of up to 38Mbps and comes with Sky Broadband Shield internet protection, a free Sky Hub, unlimited access to Sky wi-fi and Sky Yahoo Email.

Existing Sky customers may notice a change to their monthly TV bill later this year. Sky recently announced it will be increasing the cost of its TV bundles by an average of £2 per month from Wednesday 1 June.
