Sky offers half price Sky Movies and Sports upgrades to existing customers
Sky is offering existing customers the chance to either upgrade to Sky Movies and pay only half price for 12 months or upgrade to Sky Sports and get six months half price.
New Sky Movies subscribers will only pay £9 per month, instead of the standard price of £18 per month.
Sky Movies shows new movies 12 months before they’re available through online subscription services.
The Movies package includes 11 movie channels including the latest addition, Sky Disney, and thousands of films available on demand.
This deal will run for a limited time only, ending at midnight on Thursday 19 May.
Sky is also running a flash sale on Sky Sports upgrades. Customers can add the sport channels to their package and get six months half price from now until midnight on Monday 16 May. This means that upgrading to Sky Sports will only cost £14.75 extra per month for the first six months, instead of £27.50.
The Sky Sports bundle includes live games from the Barclays Premier League, Sky Bet Football League, La Liga and live action from the Capital One Cup. Subscribers get access to seven sports channels and can also watch live matches and highlights on demand through Sky Go.
Upgrade to Family Bundle without contract
For the first time ever, Sky is offering existing customers the chance to upgrade to the Family Bundle with no contract.
From now until midnight on Thursday 26 May, new Family Bundle subscribers will be able to access more than 300 Sky box sets in HD including Game of Thrones, Billions and True Detective, as well as 50 HD entertainment channels, without committing to the usual 12-month contract.
Sky’s newly-launched Sky Kids app is available at no extra cost with the Family Bundle. Sky's kids TV portfolio includes shows such as Boomerang, The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10.
The Family Bundle costs £6 extra per month depending on your Sky TV package.
Existing Sky customers may notice a change to their monthly TV bill later this year. Sky recently announced it will be increasing the cost of its TV bundles by an average of £2 per month from Wednesday 1 June.
Sky TV customers will be notified of any changes to their bills by letter or email before Friday 29 April.
