Sky partner LG to launch 3D TV campaign
LG is keen to bring the "magic of 3D" to people's living rooms.Sky's first choice for 3D TV - Korean tech giant LG - is set to launch a nationwide campaign aimed at raising awareness of the technology.
The digital TV manufacturer explained the promotion will be based on the central message of "bringing the magic of 3D into your living room".
Facets of the campaign include a cinema advert that will premiere on December 10th 2010, offers and interaction on the company's Facebook page and 2D print and TV ads.
Head of marketing at LG Home Entertainment Company Stephen Gater said millions of people have seen 3D technology in action in cinemas and pubs across the country.
"The next step and the aim of this new integrated campaign is to help people bring the magic of 3D into their homes," Mr Gater added.
LG's announcement comes just days after Futuresource Consulting predicted more than four million 3D TVs will be sold worldwide by the end of 2010.
