Sky unveils Valentine's weekend broadband and TV offers

Friday, February 12th 2016 by Cable.co.uk

Sky has launched a range of deals that will only be available from today until Monday 15 February.

New Sky TV customers will receive a choice of reward worth £25 (either a Tesco or M&S gift card or prepaid Mastercard) when they purchase any TV bundle during this period.

There are six Sky bundles starting from £20 a month. They range from The Original, which includes the basic 30 Sky channels, to The Complete which offers 70 entertainment channels, 11 movie channels, 7 sports channels and over 300 box sets. Subscribers taking the Family bundle or higher will also receive 50 HD channels.

Sky subscribers also get access to the Sky Go app, which allows you to watch channels from your subscription away from home on different devices.

All bundles require a minimum 12-month subscription and a £10 installation fee.

New TV customers who also want broadband can take advantage of Sky’s free unlimited broadband offer this weekend.

Free Sky broadband

Sky Broadband Unlimited will be free for 12 months when combined with any TV bundle.

Sky broadband provides speeds of up to 17Mb and new customers will also receive a Sky Hub router, Sky’s Broadband Shield internet security software and unlimited free access to Sky wi-fi.

Customers who live in a fibre-enabled area will be able to subscribe to Sky’s superfast fibre broadband.

This will give you access to speeds of up to 38Mb and a 25Gb monthly usage allowance. This weekend, Sky Fibre is available for £5 per month for 12 months. After a year the monthly cost will increase to £10. Customers will also have to pay £17.40 per month line rental fee.

Sky also offers an unlimited fibre broadband package. TV subscribers can add this to a TV bundle for £10 per month for 12 months, after which the price will go up to £20 per month.

All Sky broadband packages are available on a 12-month contract.

Sky’s ‘next generation’ TV set-top box Sky Q went on sale this week. Sky Q allows you to watch different programmes on up to five screens simultaneously while also recording four other channels.

Packages start at £42 per month, and there's a £250 setup fee.
