Sneaky Pete season 2 is coming to Amazon Prime Video in March 2018
One of Amazon Prime Video’s biggest TV hits of 2017 will return for a highly-anticipated second season next month.
Ten new episodes of the critically-acclaimed Sneaky Pete, a co-production with Sony Pictures Television Studios, will drop on the streaming service on Friday 9 March.
The series, which boasts a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, stars Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar, Friends) as con man Marius, who after leaving prison finds himself hunted by the gangster he once robbed so takes the identity of his cellmate Pete and “reunites” with Pete’s estranged family.
Season two sees Marius caught up in a new plot involving Pete’s estranged mother Maggie (Jane Adams, Twin Peaks), just as he was on the verge of starting fresh. With stolen millions at stake, Marius must keep up the Pete con, protect the family and find a way to ditch the thugs who’ve come to take back the money.
The series also stars Marin Ireland (Side Effects), three-time Emmy winner Margo Martindale (The Americans), Shane McRae (Still Alice), Libe Barer (Parenthood) and Peter Gerety (Prime Suspect).
“After the tremendous critical and customer reception in its first series, we’re excited to debut another series of Sneaky Pete,” said Sharon Tal Yguado, head of scripted series, Amazon Studios. “Graham and his team have crafted a second series that really raises the stakes for Marius and everyone involved.”
The Graham referred to there is Graham Yost (The Americans), who serves as an executive producer on the show alongside James Degus (All The Way), Michael Dinner and Fred Golan (Justified). Sneaky Pete was created by Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and The Good Doctor’s David Shore.
