Digital TV provider BT has added two new channels from Sony to its Vision broadcast service.

Two new channels have been added to digital TV provider BT's Vision broadcast platform, it has been announced.

The company, which also offers home phone and broadband packages, has agreed a deal which will see Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Retro added to its portfolio of channels.

US shows including The Tudors, The Shield and Damages will be shown on Sony Entertainment Television, while classic episodes of the likes of Charlie's Angels and Starsky & Hutch are set to be broadcast on Sony Retro.

Marc Watson, chief executive of BT Retail's TV and online division, said: "We're very pleased to add the strength of two Sony-branded services to BT Vision."

He added that the channels would "deliver yet more fantastic viewing" to its customers.

The addition of the new channels to the service has come after a new and improved Vision set-top box which consumes 12 per cent less power when in use was launched by BT.
