Tesco announces new tariffs for Samsung Galaxy J5 and Moto E4

Monday, July 24th 2017 by Phil Wilkinson-Jones

Tesco Mobile has announced new tariffs on one of Samsung’s latest smartphones and a highly-rated value handset from Motorola.

And to celebrate the release of Cars 3, the provider is also giving all new and upgrading customers a free three-month subscription to DisneyLife.

Tesco is offering the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 for £18.50 a month with 500MB of data, 500 minutes and 5,000 texts. There is no upfront cost.

The slimline phone has been praised for its impressive battery life and LCD display.

The Moto E4 (pictured) is available with Tesco for £11 a month with 500MB of data, 250 minutes and 5,000 texts, again with no upfront cost. The budget phone has impressed reviewers with its looks and includes a fingerprint sensor.

Everyone buying a Tesco Mobile pay monthly, pay as you go or SIM deal until 3 September – and existing customers upgrading their contract – will get a free three-month subscription to DisneyLife, worth nearly £15.

Disney’s own streaming service gives you access to more than 400 movies, hundreds of books and audio books, and thousands of Disney TV episodes and songs.

'Milestone moment'

Users can register up to 10 devices per DisneyLife account and there is an offline mode so you can download in advance and enjoy a movie even without internet access.

According to Ofcom’s latest complaints data, Tesco Mobile is the UK’s least complained-about mobile provider.

Between January and March this year, Tesco attracted 0.5 complaints per 100,000 customers – the fewest of any network for the 12th consecutive quarter.

Simon Groves, chief marketing officer at Tesco Mobile, said: “Offering the best service is something that Tesco Mobile has strived to deliver from the start, by focusing on value, innovation and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.

“We’re proud of today’s milestone moment, which is down to the hard work of the colleagues who keep our customers smiling.”
