Three and Tesco Mobile launch customer reward schemes

Tuesday, February 14th 2017 by Phil Wilkinson-Jones

Three has launched a new reward app offering exclusives, money-saving offers and one-off experiences to its customers.

Tesco Mobile has also launched a range of benefits for families with more than one pay-monthly contract.

Three's new app, Wuntu, will start by giving users seven offers each week but will gradually learn over time and tailor its rewards to people’s own interests.

Wuntu’s opening rewards include the chance to win a trip to New York with lastminute.com and offers from Deliveroo and Amazon.

The line-up of offer will refresh every Thursday and is available to all Pay As You Go, contract and mobile broadband customers.

The app can be downloaded from Google Play, iTunes or Three’s My3.

Danny Dixon, director of digital offers and rewards at Three, said: “Three’s aim is to simplify the complex landscape of loyalty programmes.

“Wuntu is unlike any other rewards programme out there. Over time, Wuntu will become innovative and intuitive, ultimately making the customer feel like a king.

“While at first the rewards it offers will be more generic, over time the mixture of offers, rewards and content will become increasingly catered to the users’ interests, the more they use it.

“The best part is that the app is very simple to use, so our customers will have a great user experience from the moment they download Wuntu through to how they claim their offers.”

'Makes life simpler'

Tesco Mobile's new Family Perks scheme gives users the choice of money off their phone bill, extra data, more minutes or Tesco Clubcard points.

Anthony Vollmer, Tesco Mobile’s CEO, said: “Family Perks is a great way to manage the whole families’ mobile spend and reward our families for being on the network.

“We’ve focused on rewarding loyalty with a simple and yet really useful bundle of perks that our customers have told us will help with the household budgeting.

“Not only that but it makes life simpler for the person paying the bills and they can manage monthly spend by capping the spend on each contract.”

Families can manage and change their perks on the Tesco Mobile website or via the Tesco Mobile app.
