Three mobile deal to offer exclusive Moto Z² Play and Gamepad bundle
As Three puts it, “get your game on” with the the new Moto Z² Play and Gamepod mod bundle coming to Three stores from April.
The thing that makes the Moto Z² Play stand out from other phones is the ability to transform it into a range of devices, from a gaming console to a projector or soundbox. This is interchangeable depending on the Moto Mod (accessory) that you connect to the handset.
Three is the only provider in the UK offering the Moto Z² Play with a Free Gamepad mod all-in-one box.
The phone has a 5.5-inch screen with super AMOLED display for a clear crisp image when gaming. With an RRP of £379 it’s a mid-range phone which appears evident in the 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. However, it has 64GB of internal storage which is a lot for the price you’re paying and there is space to expand this to a further 2TB with a microSD card.
Pre-loaded onto the phone is a mod game explorer app, with access to over 200 games. Retailing at £79, the Gamepad mod instantly turns the Moto Z² Play from an ordinary phone into a handheld gaming console.
It’s quick and easy to use, just place the phone into the mod and there’s no pairing necessary. The device has its own built-in battery, dual control sticks, D-Pad and four action buttons. Perfect for gamers who are always on the go.
What's available right now?
We’ve got to wait until April before the Moto z2 hits shelves but Three currently has deals on the Razer and Moto E4 Plus.
The Razer is the ultimate phone for gamers with a 5.72-inch screen, Dolby ATMOS tuned speakers and 8GB RAM so it can handle the most demanding games.
Three now has a flash sale on its 12GB Advanced Plan. It’s £30 a month and £49 upfront towards the cost of the of the handset. Over a 24-month contract you’ll get 12GB of data to use each month along with all-you-can-eat calls and texts. As this is an Advanced Plan you get the extra bonuses. A hefty 30GB plan is £42 a month and 100GB is £46 a month, all with the same upfront cost.
If you’re always on the go an Advanced Plan could come in handy as it lets you use your data as a personal hotspot. This means you can use your tariff to connect other devices to the internet. Depending on how generous you’re feeling you can let your friend piggy-back on to it to upload a story to Snapchat.
There’s also the Go Binge feature which gives you unlimited data specifically for streaming on Netflix, TV Player, Deezer, SoundCloud and Apple Music.
The Moto E4 Plus is a solid mid-range phone with 16GB of storage, a 5.5-inch screen and a 13MP camera. Three has a 12GB for the price of 4G deal on this phone at the moment. This will cost you £29 a month plus a one-off £19 upfront. Like all of Three’s plans above 500MB, it comes with all-you-can-eat minutes and texts.
A 12GB allowance is plenty but if you want 30GB it will cost you £33 a month or 100GB costs £37 a month. It's £19 upfront for both.
