TNA bringing first international PPV event recordings to England
Manchester and Birmingham will each stage TNA Impact Wrestling PPV tapings early in the new year.
England has been chosen as the setting for the first ever international TNA Impact Wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event tapings.
The recordings will come as part of the TNA Maximum Impact VI Tour in January and February 2014, with the events - which are the first to be held outside of the US - set to be broadcast across the world later next year.
Featuring stars like Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Bully Ray and TNA Wrestling: British Boot Camp winner Rockstar Spud, the UK shows will kick off with the TNA One Night Only: British Empire Cup on 31 January at Manchester's Phones 4u Arena.
On 2 February, the second PPV taping - TNA One Night Only: Joker's Wild 2 - will take place at the NIA in Birmingham.
As well as these two events, the UK will be the stage for a further two TNA recordings - the flagship weekly TV show Impact Wrestling, to be broadcast live from Glasgow's Hydro Arena on 30 January, and a taping at London's Wembley Arena on 1 February.
Commenting on the announcement, Kurt Angle said: "The UK fans have been begging us to hold a PPV over there for years, so I can't wait to tape two of them and make another piece of British wrestling history."
