Virgin gives away free speaker and album downloads this weekend
New Virgin Media customers will be able to get their hands on a free Pure wireless speaker and album download vouchers this weekend.
From today until Tuesday 26 April, anyone who subscribes to one of Virgin’s big bundles or its high-speed Vivid broadband service will receive a Pure Jongo S3 wireless speaker and five vouchers for album downloads.
Customers can choose from seven broadband, TV and phone bundles ranging from the value option: the Big Easy, which offers up to 50Mbps broadband and 60 TV channels, to Virgin’s premium ‘VIP’ package which includes Virgin’s fastest fibre broadband (200Mbps) and more than 240 TV channels.
Virgin currently has price reductions on all of its big bundles for the first 12 months. The Big Easy is now £15 per month (instead of £24), the Big Bang has been reduced to £24 per month (previously £34), the Big Kahuna is now £42 per month (instead of £55) and the VIP has been discounted to £75 per month (previously £99).
Virgin is also offering TV subscribers six months' free Netflix when they sign up to selected bundles.
All bundles include unlimited weekend calls so subscribers will have to pay £17.99 per month line rental on top of the bundle price.
SuperFibre 50Mb and calls now £8 per month
Virgin’s broadband and phone packages have also been discounted. SuperFibre 50Mb and calls is now £8 per month for 12 months, and then £19 thereafter. A Vivid 100Mb and calls package will cost you £13 a month for 12 months, and £24 thereafter, while the Vivid 200Mb and calls package now costs £21 a month for 12 months, and then £32 a month.
Free to big bundle customers only, the Pure Jongo S3 speaker (worth £129.99) has a rechargeable battery, a 20W stereo speaker and Bluetooth technology allowing music to be played wirelessly from any app. The S3 also allows you to stream music synchronously from around the home and is wi-fi enabled.
Virgin has given away Pure speakers with its bundle deals before. In March the provider offered a free Pure Jongo T6X portable wireless speaker (RRP £199) to customers signing up to one of its Big Kahuna bundles.
Virgin recently extended the length of its contracts to 18 months across the majority of its products. The provider used to offer 18-month contracts but reduced the contract period to 12 months last year.
