Virgin Media publishes TiVo box user interface pics

Monday, November 29th 2010 by Cable.co.uk

Three images of the menu for the forthcoming service have been released.

Virgin Media has published three screenshots of the user interface for its forthcoming connected TV service, which features TiVo-powered hardware.

The first of these new images shows the main menu, including links to the TV guide, Catch Up and On Demand services, a search and browse facility and an applications and games tab.

It also features an option enabling users to access previously-recorded shows.

A search is depicted in the second shot, with the letter J bringing up results such as the movie Juno, Justin Bieber track Somebody to Love and actress Julia Roberts.

Meanwhile, the final picture features details of the animated comedy Family Guy, with options including a series link and the chance to view all available episodes.

Executive director of digital entertainment at the cable TV company Cindy Rose said the service, combined with its fibre optic broadband offering, will "blow other connected TV products out of the water".

Earlier this month, tech news site Pocket-lint claimed Virgin Media will begin rolling out the proposition in December.
