Monday, June 18th 2018 by Oprah Flash

Virgin Media has an exciting new announcement for Netflix fans. This Autumn, you’ll be able to add on a Netflix subscription to your Virgin Media bundle.

As the next step in its partnership with Netflix in the UK, Virgin Media will soon allow you to bolt the streaming service onto your Virgin TV plan and pay for it all in one bill.

The bolt-on feature will be available from October onwards to both new and existing Virgin Media customers, who are signing up to Netflix for the first time.

Jeff Dodds, managing director of consumer and mobile at Virgin Media said: “Virgin TV has always been about giving our customers the TV they love all in one place.

“By expanding our relationship further we’re forming an even deeper relationship with our friends at Netflix and giving our customers a simpler way to pay for the service”.

Netflix and Virgin TV in one bill

In 2013, Virgin made it possible to watch to Netflix on your telly directly through its TV box, which at the time, was a bold move for a pay-TV provider. At present, you can search and save your chosen Netflix shows using Virgin TV.

If you’re new to Netflix, you can try out the streaming service using its 30-day free trial. To continue with a basic subscription costs £5.99 a month, which can be cancelled at any time. This will allow you to watch one screen at a time, whereas the standard subscription for £7.99 lets you to watch from two screen simultaneously. The premium £9.99 package also unlocks Ultra HD content.

From October, this subscription can be paid for as part of your Virgin Media bundle. If you decide to cancel Netflix, you will still have to pay for your TV plan or bundle for the rest of your agreed minimum term.

Virgin TV prices start at £22 a month for the Virgin Media Mix TV.

Virgin Media is not the only telecoms provider to strike a deal with the streaming giant. Three months ago, Sky announced Netflix would be joining Sky Q. It has not yet revealed when this feature will be available.

O2 is giving away a free subscription up to 12 months with selected pay-monthly phone and SIM-only deals.
