Virgin Mobile will offer £108 savings on the iPhone 7 for Black Friday
Virgin Mobile has announced big savings on the iPhone 7 and is offering a PS4 with FIFA 18 as part of a Sony smartphone bundle for Black Friday.
From Friday 17 November you’ll be able to get an iPhone 7 32GB for what Virgin says is the UK’s lowest monthly price – £19 – with no upfront cost. Virgin achieves this by spreading the cost of the handset over three years as opposed to two, but even so this is £3 a month cheaper than the usual price and delivers a saving of £108.
The price of the iPhone 7 has dropped following Apple’s decision to launch two new handsets this year – but it’s still a great phone and features a 12MP camera, a 4.7 inch Retina HD display and an A10 Fusion chip, making it twice as fast as the iPhone 6.
The £19 a month deal is certainly the cheapest way we know of to get the iPhone 7, but bear in mind that it does tie you into a three-year contract, which may not be for everyone, and that the data allowance will be on the modest side.
Sony Xperia XZ, PS4 and FIFA 18 bundle from £19 a month
It seems 19 is the magic number, at least as far as Virgin Mobile Black Friday deals are concerned, as £19 will also get you the Sony Xperia XZ bundle, which comes with a PlayStation 4 console and FIFA 18 game (worth £199.99) as well as a shiny new phone.
Virgin says this deal, which starts on Friday 17 November, will save you £108 and will only be available while stocks last, so be quick to avoid disappointment.
Again, this price is based on you choosing the lowest tariff and paying for the handset over three years. The good news is that if you find you’re going over your allowance each month, you can change tariff every 30 days – and change it back down again if you so wish.
Free Android tablet with Samsung Galaxy J3
We told you earlier this week that Virgin is giving away a free Android tablet with the Samsung Galaxy J3 phone. Well, the good news is that deal is about to get even better as from 17 November to 20 December it will cost just £12 a month.
The tablet – an Alcatel Pixi 4 with a 7” screen – is described as “a great companion” for the Samsung J3. We don’t know what that means, but we do know that this is a relatively cheap way to get hold of a good mid-range smartphone and a tablet that runs on the same operating system.
As well as handset deals, Virgin is also offering what it says is the UK’s lowest priced 20GB SIM-only plan – and to be fair we are yet to find a cheaper one. From Friday 17 November 20GB of data, 5,000 minutes and unlimited texts will be £15 with Virgin Mobile.
And yes, we know that actual Black Friday isn't until 24 November, but do you want a great mobile deal or not?
