Friday, February 12th 2016 by Cable.co.uk

Virgin Media is having a flash sale on its TV and broadband packages this weekend.

From Friday 12 February until Tuesday 16 February, customers who purchase a big bundle online will get a choice of three rewards worth £100 or more.

The rewards on offer are a Pure Jongo S3 wireless speaker (RRP £129) with five free album downloads, a £100 retail voucher (Amazon, John Lewis or M&S), or £100 bill credit.

Virgin offer four broadband, TV and phone bundles. Virgin’s starter package, The Big Easy, is £10 per month for the first nine months, after which it reverts back to the standard price of £24 per month. With this package you get 50Mb fibre broadband and 60 TV channels (including 10 HD channels).

The next bundle up is the Big Bang. This includes a 100Mb broadband connection and more than 130 channels (11 in HD) for £17 a month for six months (£34 per month thereafter).

Virgin's fastest broadband

Customers who are happy with 100Mb broadband but would like more TV channels can opt for the Big Fun, which includes more than 170 standard channels and 11 in HD. The Big Fun is currently £20 per month and will increase to £40 per month for the remainder of the contract.

Virgin’s top package is the Big Kahuna Movies. For £29.50 per month, subscribers will get Virgin’s fastest broadband at up to 200Mbps, over 230 channels and 47 in HD. The monthly cost will rise to £59 per month after six months.

All four bundles include unlimited weekend calls and subscribers will have to pay a £17.99 line rental charge.

Virgin has given away Pure speakers with its bundle deals before. Last month, the provider offered the portable T2 wireless speaker to customers signing up to the Big Bundle, VIVID Broadband or VIVID Broadband & Calls packages.

The Pure Jongo S3 model has a rechargeable battery, a 20W stereo speaker and Bluetooth technology allowing music to be played wirelessly from any app. The S3 also allows you to stream music synchronously from around the home and is wi-fi enabled.
