Vodafone offers 20GB for £20 in Big Data SIM-only deal

When it comes to mobile phone data, often it is best to go big or go home and Vodafone is offering data crunchers a whopping 20GB on its SIM-only Big Data deal for £20 a month.
Available on its Red Extra plan, you get unlimited minutes and texts as well as a three-month trial of SecureNet virus protection. You can also use the plan to boost your allowance by accessing Vodafone passes that won’t eat up your data.
For an extra £7 a month you can get unlimited data to access streaming services such Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video or DisneyLife.
An extra fiver a month gets you a Vodafone music pass for streaming on apps such as Spotify, TIDAL and Deezer, or you could also get a social pass for endless use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
There is also a chat pass for £3 a month that removes data limits on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Viber. You can combine all these passes for an extra £15 a month.
If you wanted a bit more to keep you occupied, Vodafone’s Red Entertainment SIM-only plan offers the same data and unlimited minutes plus you can choose a free 12-month subscription to access either a NOW TV Entertainment Pass, Spotify Premium or Sky Sports.
40GB for £41 a month with free Sky Sports
Alternatively, you could double the data to 40GB and get the Red Entertainment package for £41 a month.
Data may not necessarily be your thing, and if you just need a SIM package for phones and texts, Vodafone offers an Essentials plan for £11 a month. This will get you 1GB of data and 1,000 texts and minutes each month but you won’t be able to use the Vodafone passes.
There is also a £13.50 a month Red Extra plan that gives you 2GB a month and unlimited calls and texts, plus it will let you buy Vodafone passes if you want to.
Alternatively, there is a lower-cost Red Entertainment package that offers unlimited texts and minutes with 8GB of data for £18 a month. All these plans mentioned come on 12-month contracts.
The pricing is pretty competitive and you get some juicy extras, but other providers are offering big and small data SIM-only deals that are worth considering.
Three Mobile offers unlimited minutes and texts plus 30GB of data for £18 a month.
If you are more of a texter than a talker, Virgin Mobile has a 40GB SIM-only deal with 5,000 minutes, and unlimited texts for the same monthly amount.
BT offers a 20GB data deal with unlimited texts and minutes for £20 a month and will also give customers a £70 reward card that needs to be claimed once your deal is setup.
Smaller data users can get 5GB on Virgin Mobile with unlimited texts and 1,500 minutes for £9 a month or if you are a Sky customer you can access unlimited texts and minutes with just 1GB of data for £5 a month.
If all this still just isn’t enough data for you, Three offers an unlimited package for £28 a month.
