Vodafone increases data and call allowances on Big Value Bundles
Vodafone has announced a change to its Big Value Bundles that allows pay as you go customers to benefit from double the amount of data without any additional cost.
Both new and existing customers can take advantage of the extended data and minutes allowance on their 30-day rolling SIM-only plans.
The £5, £10 and £20 plans have all had either their data or call allowances increased. If you already have one of Vodafone's Big Value Bundles, it will automatically be upgraded no matter where you are in your 30-day cycle.
When opting for one of Vodafone’s cheaper bundles, you now get 100MB of data, 150 minutes and 250 texts along with 100 reward points. A tariff like this is better suited to customers who only moderately use their phones for basic tasks like making calls and sending text messages.
Free data and minutes boost
Both the data and the minutes allowances have been boosted in the £10 Big Value Bundle. You now get 2GB of data, 250 minutes and unlimited texts with 150 reward points.
In the £20 Big Value, there’s 8GB of data up for grabs with 1,000 minutes and unlimited texts. Vodafone also gives you 250 reward points with this deal.
Think of the reward points as you would think of Nectar points or Tesco Clubcard points. It’s Vodafone’s way of enticing you to keep renewing your pay as you go bundle every month.
When you’ve saved up enough points you can exchange them for data, giftcards or gadgets. At 500 points you can swap them for 500MB of extra data valid for 7 days, 2,700 point gets you Bluetooth In-Ear headphones and for a £20 Amazon giftcard you need 4,000 points.
As a perk of choosing Vodafone as your pay as you go tariff provider, you are able to rollover any unused data, minutes and texts into the next month’s allowance. You’ll also be able to use your plan while you’re on holiday in 48 countries around Europe.
The Big Value Bundles are 30-day rolling plans and will automatically renew at the end of the month. You are free to cancel at any time.
