John Lewis offers standard and fibre broadband. You can choose from up to 17Mbps, up to 38Mbps and up to 76Mbps. All packages come with unlimited usage. Although 17Mbps might seem slow, it’s fast enough for streaming HD videos and movies. If you have a large household or have several devices online at once, the 38Mbps service might be a better choice.

John Lewis operates a traffic management policy

With traffic management, your online activity will be slowed down during peak times to ensure consistent speed for all broadband users across the provider’s network. This may be an issue for those who regularly download, as it will take longer than usual to stream or download content.

John Lewis offers quite a few extras for customers. Quality customer support is provided with the Freephone service, and each customer is entitled to a John Lewis email address that comes with 1GB of email storage. You also have the option to upgrade your phone plan to Anytime Calls or International Calls – just keep in mind free calls are limited to 60 minutes per call.

Keep your kids safe online with Bullguard security

One of the main perks is the Bullguard security software, which is a great parental tool to keep kids safe online. The software comes with anti-virus, email spam filters, anti-spyware tools and lets you filter webpages. It also notifies you of any possible threats and inappropriate content on your child’s Facebook wall with the social media monitoring feature.
