Sky Bundles Packages Explained

Sky Bundles Packages allows you to combine the television you want to watch with broadband and a phone service included - for the ultimate in money and time saving convenience. This allows you to only pay for the television programmes you know you want to view and combine this with Sky Broadband and Sky Talk if you wish.

On top of more than 200 free to air TV and radio channels included when you purchase any Sky TV package, such as the terrestrial channels (i.e. BBC1, ITV etc.) and all of those usually available through Freeview (i.e. ITV2, BBC News 24 etc.), you have the option of selecting as many of the 6 available Entertainment Packs as you like, and either or both of the Premium Packs offered.

The Entertainment Packs are the Variety Pack, Knowledge Pack, News and Events Pack, Music Pack, Style and Culture Pack, and the Children's Pack. One Entertainment pack costs £16.50 per month, but then additional ones can be added for just £1 extra per month each, therefore meaning all 6 Entertainment Packages are £21.50 a month. The two Premium Packs are the Movies Pack and the Sports Pack.

The Movies Pack includes 11 different channels that between them show over 850 films. When purchased with all 6 of the Entertainment Packs, the Movie Pack costs £16 per month, meaning the whole package costs £37.50 per month. The Sports Pack covers over 100 different sports shown through Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Xtra.

When purchased with all 6 of the Entertainment Packs, the Sports Pack costs £18 per month, meaning the whole package costs £39.50. All six Entertainment Packs, the Sports Pack and the Movies Pack can be purchased for £46 per month.

Customers can then choose whether they wish to add broadband and/or phone services to their Sky package. 20MB maximum download speed broadband with unlimited downloads can be added to the bundle for an additional £15 per month and Sky Talk Line Rental, which replaces the company the customer currently pays their telephone bill to with Sky, costs an additional £10 per month, with Sky Talk Freetime available free of charge and allowing you to make free evening and weekend calls, and Sky Talk Unlimited available for an extra £5 per month, giving you Unlimited UK land line calls.

Sky offers three options of boxes for your TV viewing. Firstly, there is their Standard Sky Box, which costs £15 to install. Secondly, there is the Sky+ Box, which costs £30 to install. Both of these fees apply to new customers of Sky only. Finally, customers have the option of the Sky+HD box.

This improves the details of pictures shown on your television by up to four times than they would appear on other TVs through the Standard Sky Box or Sky+ Box, (although, be aware you will need a HD television to appreciate it's effect). The Sky+HD box costs £79 including installation for new customers with Sky.

Finally, to complete the Sky Bundle, customers can choose whether they wish to add Sky Multi-room (so that Sky can be viewed in an additional room on a separate television), for an extra £9.75 a month.
