With a broadband and TV package you can get exactly the level of digital TV and broadband that you want without any unnecessary extras that you don’t.
Perhaps you don’t want or need a phone line, or perhaps you’ve got a phone service that you’re perfectly happy with. Whatever the reason, this is where broadband and TV deals really come into their own - they give you what you want and nothing more.
Things to consider
Availability
The availability of the different broadband and TV providers and packages can vary across the UK. Before you start to compare broadband and TV packages you should start with our postcode checker at the top of this page. That way we can show you a breakdown of just those packages that are available where you live.
What level of service do you want?
When you’re comparing broadband and TV packages and deals you have a number of options to consider before you’ll be able to choose the right package.
Some packages have a basic TV service coupled with fast, unlimited broadband, while others place the emphasis on TV alongside a basic broadband package. And there are of course bundles with a full TV package coupled with a high-end broadband package.
Consider what level of service you want from both the broadband and TV aspects of your bundle to make comparing deals easier, and always start with our postcode checker to find the best deals in your area.
Broadband and TV – your options
With broadband and TV you have the option to take both from a single provider, or to take each service from a different provider. Whichever way you choose to do it your options will differ.
Virgin Media broadband and TV
The only provider that offers a bundle of just broadband and TV services without a phone package is Virgin Media. If this is your preferred provider then you have a range of options to choose from for both the broadband and TV aspects of your bundle.
Virgin Media broadband is available in speeds up to 10Mb, 30Mb, 50Mb and in some areas up to 100Mb, with the monthly cost being higher for the faster packages. Whichever speed you opt for you’ll get an unlimited monthly download allowance, a free wireless router and Internet security software.
You can combine any one of the above broadband packages with your choice of Virgin Media’s TV three different packages. The basic 65 channel TV M+, the mid-range 100 channel TV L and the high-end 160 channel TV XL.
You also have a choice of set-top boxes including the standard V HD box, the V+ HD box with inbuilt digital TV recorder and the Virgin Media TiVo for the ultimate TV experience.
These packages are only available in areas that are connected to the Virgin Media so it’s vital that you use our postcode checker above to find out if Virgin Media is available where you live.
Multiple providers
If you live outside the Virgin Media cable network then you still have plenty of options for getting broadband and TV, but you’ll have to get each from a different supplier.
Outside the cable network you can get standalone TV only packages from both Sky and BT Vision. Each provider offers a range of TV packages that include different amounts of channels and that come with or without a digital TV recorder.
Premium channels including Sky Sports, ESPN and Sky Movies can be added to many TV only packages so consider up front what you want from your TV service and then use our TV only postcode checker to find the right deal for you.

All that’s left to do then is to choose a good broadband only deal that meets your needs. When it comes to broadband you’ll undoubtedly have much broader choice of providers than you will with your TV subscription.
The availability of the different types of broadband and broadband providers varies across the country so you should start with our broadband postcode checker to find out exactly what your options are before you begin comparing packages.

Enjoy more with TV on-demand
Broadband and TV go very well together, especially because of on-demand TV. On-demand services use your broadband connection to give you access to a library of TV and films for you to enjoy whenever you want. This opens up a whole new world of entertainment on your TV so you’ll never be short of something to watch ever again.
Many of these on-demand movies and TV shows are “rented” on a pay-pr-view basis but most on-demand packages also include free catch-up TV services such as the BBC iPlayer.
