Huge Clubcard savings on Tesco Mobile deals

Despite recently selling its banking business, supermarket giant Tesco shows no signs of giving up on its excellent Tesco Mobile brand. The provider has gone from strength to strength, with aggressively priced (cheap) offers on both SIM only and handset deals. But now there's a new spoke in the wheel. Tesco Mobile is offering additional savings to Tesco Clubcard customers. They're not universal and only apply to some deals, but if you're in the market and you have a Tesco Clubcard, some of them will save you quite a chunk of change. Let's take a look.
SIM only deals with Clubcard discounts
First off, there are currently two deals available on Tesco SIM only contract deals that offer an additional saving to Clubcard customers. They are:
Tesco Mobile 30GB SIM
Clubcard price: £11.50 per month
First up is Tesco Mobile's 30GB SIM. Tesco Mobile operates on the O2 network, and as such offers 99% UK coverage, and decent data speeds on both 4G and 5G. You won't pay any more for 5G, so what you get will depend on the type of service available where you live. If you can get 5G, you'll be able to use it. These Tesco Mobile SIM contracts are a little long at 24 months, but the pay-off is they are incredibly cheap. More so with the extra £1 per month you'll save as a Clubcard customer – or £24 total saving across the duration of the contract.

Tesco Mobile Unlimited SIM
Clubcard price: £20 per month + 3,000 Clubcard points
The second SIM with a Tesco Clubcard discount is its unlimited data SIM – a great pick for those who want the peace of mind of never having to worry about running out of data. The saving here is far more substantial, with a £5 discount per month across a 24-month contract, or £120 total saving. In addition, Tesco Mobile is giving away 3,000 Clubcard points with this SIM – that's £30 you can spend at Tesco as you please, making a total saving of £150. This is a great deal, though not everyone needs unlimited data, so you could feasibly save more money by opting for the 30GB version above.

Tesco Mobile phone deals with Clubcard discounts
Tesco Mobile also tends to offer very competitive deals on all sorts of handsets, from the very latest, like the iPhone 15 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, through to older, more budget-friendly handsets like the iPhone 12, along with a host of very budget-friendly options from non-flagship brands.
There are a lot of Clubcard deals on handsets right now, but they do not apply universally to every handset and SIM. Instead, you can find them only on some handsets and within the options for those handsets on a handful of SIMs of different data sizes. No mid-contract price rises on Clubcard deals
This is a point worth mentioning all by itself. If you opt for either a Tesco Mobile SIM or Tesco Mobile contract phone, there will be no price rises for the entire duration of the contract. With contracts at 24 months and 36 months respectively that equates to a fairly substantial further discount, since other providers raise their prices by inflation plus 3.9% every April.
Why Tesco Mobile?
Tesco Mobile is cheap. Not the cheapest, but if you're shopping around for a SIM or contract phone and feeling a bit lazy, you're not going to lose out by much opting for Tesco Mobile. Tesco has the same attitude to its phone business as it does its supermarkets: Stay competitive, be alert of the pricing of other providers, and adjust its offer accordingly.
But there's more to the provider than just offering a bargain. Whether you're getting a Tesco Mobile SIM, or you're after a contract phone, there are some other benefits beyonds the bonus discounts you get with your Clubcard. They are:
Free EU roaming till 2025
Tesco's roaming offering is called Home From Home, and applies to all Tesco Mobile SIMs until next year (2025). Tesco isn't saying what will change then, but for now it means you can use your phone exactly as you do at home when abroad in an EU/European country.

Additional benefits on Clubcard Plus
Clubcard Plus is like a platinum version of the basic Clubcard and costs £7.99 per month. Why would you pay that? Well, for starters you'll get two shops per month you can levy a 10% discount onto. If you do your family shopping once every two weeks at Tesco, that's going to come to a lot more saved than the £7.99 monthly fee. Clubcard Plus cannot be used to shop online though – you must be physically shopping at a Tesco store, so just bear that in mind before getting too excited.
Clubcard Plus also gives you double data! If you're on Tesco Mobile and have Clubcard Plus, whatever your normal data limit is it's doubled. So suddenly that meagre-looking 12GB SIM, now 24GB, isn't looking so meagre anymore. You could theoretically opt for a SIM with half the data limit you need, save a bunch of money, and boost it back up with Clubcard Plus.
