What will I need?
A fibre optic broadband connection
In order to receive TalkTalk fibre services, you will need a fibre optic connection at your property. Fibre isn’t as widely available as standard broadband and is limited to certain areas. You can use our availability checker at the top of the page to see if you are in luck.
A wireless router
To receive fast and reliable internet connection, you will need a wireless router. This improved router also provides a stronger, more far-reaching signal than the previous model.
How do I switch?
Decide on the right package
You can choose a TalkTalk fibre broadband deal from the table above. By clicking on the package, you’ll get a breakdown of what’s included in the plan. This will give you information on a number of features, including extra costs and pricing. You can choose to view the deals as you wish by sorting them according to monthly cost, contract length, total savings or speed. Once you have made a selection, click on the ‘See Deal’ button, where you’ll be redirected to the provider’s website to finalise your purchase.
Cancel with your provider
Once you have set things in motion with your new provider, it is responsible for managing the switchover so there is no need to call your old provider. The only exception to this is if you are currently with Virgin Media as it operates its own cable network. It’s worth noting that if you cancel your contract before the minimum term expires, you’ll be subject to a termination charge. Normally, you will need to give your provider 30 days’ notice, but read the terms and conditions to see if this applies.
