The Full House Bundle is ideal for...

Superfast, totally unlimited broadband

All Virgin Media broadband is unlimited, which means you can download without restriction and won’t incur any extra charges. This is ideal for large families and combines perfectly with the up to 200Mb download speed, which will enable smooth streaming and downloading for several devices at once.

This is seriously fast and will actually be surplus to many people’s needs, but if your household spends a massive amount of time online and uses different devices simultaneously, it’s ideal. Virgin Media states that you can download an album in four seconds, a TV show in 20 seconds and a movie in around one minute 45 seconds.

The new V6 TiVo box and over 245+ channels – including BT Sport

The comes with a 1TB V6 box to pause, rewind and record up to 500 hours of live TV, as well as record up to six channels at once. You also get the Virgin TV Anywhere app, which allows you to view your favourite shows wherever you like - subject to a connection (TV Anywhere does not work over 3G or 4G).

You get over 230 channels to watch on TV, including BT Sport and ESPN in HD, and an excellent range of kids' channels - including the Disney channels. TV on demand and catch up programming is also included with BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Sky on Demand, 4oD and Netflix (if you have a Netflix subscription). There is even a shortcut channel to watch Netflix directly though the TV - channel 204.

Free weekend calls and add-ons

The weekend calls package is included as standard with the Full House, featuring unlimited calls to UK landlines and Virgin Media mobile numbers over the weekend. If you want to upgrade your calls package, you can pay extra to add Evenings or Anytime calls.

You can also choose to add a 4G Virgin Mobile SIM-only deal to your bundle. These come with unlimited texts and data ranging from 300MB to 20GB. They are designed to use in your existing handset and you can keep your current mobile phone number.

Things worth considering before you buy the Full House Bundle...

Traffic management on uploads

Although Virgin Media advertises that all its broadband services are unlimited, this isn’t strictly accurate, since although downloading is unaffected, uploading isn’t. If you upload excessively at peak times and reach a certain threshold, your speed could be throttled for up to two hours. This is particularly relevant to anyone that regularly file shares or plays online games.

Limited availability

Since Virgin’s fibre network is still in the rollout phase, it is currently only available to around 50-60% of the UK. The network is growing, but quite slowly, so those who can’t get it will have to sit tight and wait until it arrives as Virgin do not offer a standard broadband alternative.

Still undecided? Consider a different Virgin bundle

If you're not sure whether the Full House Bundle is for you, you could consider a different bundle. From the basic Player Bundle to the all-inclusive VIP Bundle, there is something for everyone with Virgin Media bundles.
